Fantastic opportunities for young people aged 14-24
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award offers fantastic opportunities for young people aged 14-24. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from; taking part in the Award is an adventure and an achievement aimed at developing personal growth and enhancing career progression.
We offer walking, canoeing and biking expedition programmes at Bronze, Silver and Gold level. Our typical programme will incorporate 2 days of training covering the majority of the Common Training Framework relevant to the level of Award, followed by a practice expedition (at Silver & Gold level) and then a qualifying expedition. See our overview table below:
However, we build programmes around you, so if all you need are appropriately qualified assessors and supervisors, then we can help, or if you need to borrow kit, would like a formal certificated first aid course or something else, then please get in touch. We have experience of delivering expeditions throughout the UK, so we will work with you to decide on the appropriate venues for your expedition programme. Our programmes are supervised, led and inspired by qualified mountain leaders who are passionate about walking in the UK and have years of DofE expedition experience.
